My New Years Resolutions 2019

I know its almost the end of January, and most people declared their New Years Resolutions to the world on January 1st. But I’ve taken a good month to reflect on what I really want to achieve this year and I’ve just started to put things in practice. I now know what my resolutions/goals are and I wanted to share (because if I tell all of you, then maybe I will be more motivated to keep them!)

ALSO! I am going to be sharing my resolution progress on my instagram stories/highlights! Including any tips & techniques that I have found to be really helpful.

1️⃣ #Resolution1: Complain Less.

I’ll admit, I like to complain about little things.. (and medium things & big things & all of the things!) Sometimes I don’t even know why I am complaining, sometimes it seems more fun to be disappointed with something. I really don’t like this part of me. It’s something I’ve wanted to change for a while and I’ve decided 2019 is a good time to start. I had a bit of an “a-ha!” moment a few weeks ago, that has already significantly helped me stop complaining and become more grateful for things (…and it’s not a gratitude journal!! It’s something much easier than that!) I’ll be sharing this technique with you soon for anyone who is interested. The end goal is to be grateful for what I have, to stop comparing myself to others and generally improve my happiness.

2️⃣ #Resolution2: Save More Money.

Money is a touchy subject, but I don’t really care, I’ll get straight into it. This is a hard one for me, because I’m currently not earning enough to put away (my monthly income = my monthly bills). But I’ve had another little “a-ha” moment in terms of saving, and it’s “count your dollars and cents.” In other words, every little bit does count. So I am on a mission to find lots of ‘little’ ways to easily put away extra dollars (and cents!!) … as well as nifty ways to save when shopping.

3️⃣ #Resolution3: Declutter the home & electronics (phone & computer).

I don’t know about you, but my mac is choccas full of unorganised crap and I’m starting to get notifications that I can’t fit anything else on my computer. This adds to my daily anxiety (unnecessary!) A few years ago I used to link my phone to my computer when my phone was too full and now I have random screen shots of the weather from 2013 just taking up unnecessary space. THIS.KILLS.ME. I have actually started the decluttering process of my computer, phone & home and I can’t wait to share my tips with you

Like I said, everything will be shared on my instagram stories & highlights (and maybe even my IGTV)

If you have any tips or advice for me for my resolutions, please share!

Sharing is caring.

xx Emily
